Manchester City are keen on bringing in a new young defender. With their latest target being Palmeiras centre-back Vitor Rais in Brazil’s Serie A. With a bid of £33.5m (around €40m) set to be made.

According to reports from ‘Uoel Esporte’, even though City have been making moves to sign Abdugomir Kusanov, a young centre-back from เล่นเกมคาสิโน UFABET ทันสมัย ฝากถอนง่าย Lens in the French Ligue 1, they are also pursuing the 18-year-old Brazilian defender.

The Citizens’ scouting network are confident that Rice is the answer to modern football because of his skill, defensive sense and build-up, and he still has plenty of potential to improve.

The Palmeiras native has a contract until the end of 2028. Last season, he scored two goals in 26 senior games.

In addition to City , Rice has also been linke with Real Madrid Chelsea Arsenal and Brighton.

According to the report, Palmeiras are reluctant to part ways with the defender in January, preferring to retain him until after the Club World Cup later this year. That said, Brighton may explore a potential compromise by signing Reis now and loaning him back to Palmeiras until the season’s end.

Fabian Hurzeler has been clear about his desire to strengthen Brighton’s squad, and Reis seems to fit the club’s long-term philosophy of acquiring promising young talent.
